Blake Lively Becomes Director

Deadline has confirmed that actress Blake Lively (A Simple Favor) will be directing her feature directorial debut, an adaptation of the graphic novel Seconds, for Searchlight Pictures.

The plot revolves around Katie Clay, who is given the ability to undo her misdeeds by writing them down in a notebook, eating a mushroom, and falling asleep. As a result, Clay's newfound power creates ever-new challenges that threaten not only to pull her away from the life she had before, but the whole fabric of time and space itself.

Filmmaker Edgar Wright, who directed Scott Pilgrim vs. the World, has written the script and will produce the film with Marc Platt, a three-time Oscar contender.
