J&K National Film Festival

There is a great deal of excitement and enthusiasm in residents of Jammu and Kashmir over the film industry's use of scenic locations and even the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway to shoot film scenes. There used to be a constant flow of filming taking place, as well as crew members, actors, and others associated with the industry visiting the state, resulting in several commercial and employment opportunities.  After a long break, people are getting interested in art, music, movies, and other related fields again.

The first ever Jammu and Kashmir National Film Festival will be held in the month of June, which is a significant development in its own right, not only in the field of filmmaking, but also in terms of bringing together the best in the industry and fostering an appreciation for the reality and beauty of creativity. It would be fascinating to see how the week-long festival in Jammu and Kashmir, which is otherwise blessed by nature with all that ecology that helps promote, sense, feel, and breathe fresh concepts and creative orientation in relation to the world of art, music, and film, connects thoughts, social novelties, and cultural innovations. The Film Festival Award Ceremony, which will present 40 prizes, has already been added to the festival's schedule.
