"Hold My Hand" from Top Gun: Maverick has been released by Lady Gaga. The song  will also be featured in the film when it premieres on May 27th.

In the style of the 1980s' power ballads, "Hold My Hand" has  rock guitar  and violin performances. It has  already garnered a lot of attention as a contender for Gaga's best original song following the film's CinemaCon showing in Las Vegas. Gaga, BloodPop, and Benjamin Rice all contributed to the song's creation.

"Hold my hand everything will be ok, I heard from the heavens that clouds have been grey" were Gaga's pre-release lyrics.  “Love Letter to the World,” she said. "I didn't even realize the multiple layers it spanned across the film's heart, my own psyche, and the nature of the world we've been living in," Gaga wrote in an Instagram post. She added, “It's something I've been working on for years, trying to make it uniquely ours. When I wrote this song, I wanted to express my deep desire to both be understood and to understand each other, a wish to be close when we feel so far away and an ability to celebrate life's heroes."

Gaga also praised Tom Cruise and Hans Zimmer . This opportunity—and working with Hans and Joe—has been a lovely experience for me, and I'm grateful to Tom, Hans, and Joe for it." Harold Faltermeyer and Hans Zimmer are among the composers that worked on the film's soundtrack.
