Sushmita Sen returns for Ram Madhvani’s Aarya 3

In 2020, the Disney + Hotstar web series Aarya marked actor Sushmita Sen's triumphant return to the world of acting. Having garnered critical acclaim for its first two seasons, this popular web series is now gearing up for its third season.

The third season of Aarya will also have Sushmita Sen repeating her role as the protagonist. As a fierce mother who will go to any length to protect her children, the former Miss Universe plays the lead role in the show.

According to Pinkvilla, director Ram Madhvani and his team have begun writing the script for Aarya 3. Aarya's creators, according to a person familiar with the project, are delighted to elevate the plot to a new level of drama and excitement. According to the source,  "Aarya is an extremely important project for him (Ram Madhvani), and he doesn’t want to leave any stone unturned for the third part. As of now, they are hoping to start filming by the end of the year."

Recently, Sushmita was recognized for her work in the series by the International Association of Working Women. Sushmita said she was 'euphoric' after receiving her newest honor. The star of Main Hoon Na (2004) praised the team's hard work and described it as “a surreal' experience.

The 46-year-old performer gushed  "I am overwhelmed with all the love and appreciation being showered on Aarya 2. The entire team has worked strenuously to put together a work of art that would be loved by everyone. It’s euphoric to win the International Association of Working Women Award for outstanding performance by a female actor in a television series".

She went on to say, " I would like to thank the organizers of the DC South Asian Film Festival for bestowing this honour on me and the entire team. This is surreal!"
