Rajiv Kapoor's Final Film Toolsidas To Be Released On 23rd May

The Netflix launch of Toolsidas Junior, a Bollywood film, has been set. Rajiv Kapoor's final film will be available on OTT platforms on May 23rd, marking Rajiv's final screen appearance. The film tells the story of a teenage snooker prodigy who tries to reclaim his father's legacy after a devastating defeat in a tournament.

Mridul wrote and directed Toolsidas Junior. Ashutosh Gowariker and Sunita Gowariker have produced with Bhushan Kumar and Krishan Kumar.

Rajiv Kapoor's acting in the film had been appreciated by Ashutosh Gowariker in the past. “When I worked with Rajiv, I had a great time. He was a consummate professional while working on set. And he did it all with a smile, grace, and effortlessness. He was such a kind guy. Everyone is going to be surprised by his performance in Toolsidas Junior. His absence will mean that he will miss the recognition that was certain to be bestowed upon him," he said.

When the Toolsidas Junior movie's producers held a special showing for the Kapoor family earlier this year in Mumbai, Ranbir and Neetu and Aadar and Armaan and Rima and Kunal Kapoor were in attendance.

In February 2021, Rajiv Kapoor, who made his Bollywood debut in 1983 with Ek Jaan Hain Hum, died of a heart attack.
