DC Finds Their Wonder Twins In KJ Apa And Isabel May

 Zan and Jayna

The live-action Wonder Twins have been created by DC. The Hollywood Reporter has announced that Warner Bros. has cast KJ Apa and Isabel May in the upcoming HBO Max feature. Adam Sztykiel is set to write and direct this film.

Dwayne Johnson's upcoming Black Adam is being written by Adam Sztykiel. Production is being handled by Temple Hill's Marty Bowen and Wyck Godfrey.

Zan and Jayna, the Wonder Twins,  first appeared in Hanna-1970s Barbera's The All-New Super Friends Hour. They then appeared in the Super Friends comic book and were subsequently integrated into the greater DC universe.

"Wonder Twin power, activate!" is their catchphrase, with Jayna being able to shift into animals and Zan being able to transform into water. They've been the subject of countless memes and jokes since the dawn of the Internet.

Apa became a household name as Archie Andrews on Riverdale on The CW, and then starred in the Michael Bay-directed pandemic thriller Songbird in the year 2020. May is well remembered for her debut role as Elsa Dutton in the Yellowstone prequel 1883.

Before the Wonder Twins goes on floor, DC has other projects lined up for release. Animated DC League of Super-Pets will be released on July 19, followed by Black Adam (Oct. 21) and Shazam! Fury of the Gods (Oct. 28) from Warner Bros. (Dec. 16).
