Netflix Aquires the Man From Toronto

Sony Pictures' The Man From Toronto, starring Kevin Hart and Woody Harrelson, has been acquired by Netflix for worldwide distribution, excluding China.
The action-comedy from director Patrick Hughes will be released by the streaming service later this year. Netflix and Sony struck a deal in 2021 for a first look at the film, which was scheduled for a theatrical release on August 12, 2022.
The Man from Toronto is the story of the world's deadliest assassin, and a New York City screw-up at an Airbnb. There is a clash of egos as well as a showdown with deadly assassins. The screenplay was written by Robbie Fox based on a story by Fox and Jason Blumenthal, with Fox serving as co-author.
Kaley Cuoco, Jasmine Mathews, Lela Loren, Pierson Fode, Jencarlos Canela, and Ellen Barkin are all in the cast of the film. In addition to producing, Todd Black, Jason Blumenthal, and Steve Tisch are also executive producing the film.
