Doctor Strange MoM Box Office

The recent MCU film Dr Strange in The Multiverse Of Madness is projected to rake in a total of $160 million to $180 million, in its opening weekend. According to current forecasts, the picture might end up with a total of more than $200 million, when all the data are tallied on Sunday.
Dr Strange In The Multiverse of Madness should surpass Warner Bros.'s $134 million premiere of The Batman as the highest American box office opening of 2022, with roughly $100 million already in the tank from 4,534 locations.
This time , Multiverse of Madness is expected to open with a domestic total that would be more than double the total of the original Doctor Strange, which opened with $85 million in 2016. This sequel is expected to surpass the predecessor's domestic gross of $232.6 million in a matter of days. Sorcerer Supreme Benedict Cumberbatch's popularity has skyrocketed after he appeared in two Avengers films and a third Spider-Man: No Way Home.

As with every Marvel Studios production, Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness came at a high cost, with a budget of $200 million. And, as is the case with most Marvel Studios films, ticket revenues should quickly cover the costs of the film's production and distribution. On its first day overseas, Strange brought nearly $27 million. Pre-sales in the United States alone brought in $65 million for the picture.
Dr Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness follows Dr. Stephen Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) as he travels through different multiverses in order to protect a superpowered being called America Chavez (Xochitl Gomez). Chiwetel Ejiofor plays Karl Mordo, Elizabeth Olsen is Scarlet Witch, and Benedict Wong is Wong, in the film.
Critic Owen Gleiberman, Variety's top film critic, described the film as "both entertaining and exhausting writing.” He further stated that "It's a CGI horror jam, a Marvel brainteaser, and at times a bit of an ordeal." Even if the reviews haven't been great (it has a Rotten Tomatoes approval rating of 75%, which is lower than usual for Marvel flicks), fans will still go to the theaters in droves.
Dr. Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness has received a "B+" CinemaScore rating from the general public, which is on the lower end of a standard MCU entry. It will be interesting to watch if word of mouth affects the film's box office performance in the future.
In the wake of Marvel Studios' return, the rest of the box office was left to fend for itself. A third-weekend take of $10.3 million for Universal's The Bad Guys places it second. A total of $58 million will be added to the DreamWorks Animation film's domestic total through Sunday.
In its sixth weekend of distribution, Paramount's Sonic the Hedgehog 2 is aiming for a third-place finish. In the United States, the SEGA sequel has done very well and is expected to surpass $170 million in domestic box office receipts this weekend. The competition for Warner Bros.' Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore and A24's Everything Everywhere All at Once will determine the fourth and fifth spots.
In its fourth weekend, The Secrets of Dumbledore is expected to plummet by 52%, but it will still bring in an additional $86 million from domestic revenue. Most of the Harry Potter prequels have underperformed recently, and it's unlikely that the current one will top $100 million domestically.
In the wake of the release of a new multiverse, the science fiction movie Everything Everywhere All at Once took a tumble at the box office and has since been pulled from theaters. With a projected 32 percent loss, the indie release is suffering its greatest dip ever. Previously, the film had shown a 2 percent week-to-week rise. The action movie starring Michelle Yeoh is expected to gross in excess of $40 million dollars in the United States this weekend.
