Park Chan-wook’s Decision to Leave acquired by Mubi

Park Chan- wook's Decision to Leave, which will premiere in competition at Cannes next month, will be released theatrically in the United States and the United Kingdom on streaming platform Mubi.
Mubi is a multi-platform distributor, streaming service, and production house. It recently signed a deal with South Korean company CJ Entertainment to acquire rights to numerous territories including the United States, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Turkey and India.
There will be a theatrical release in the US and UK in the fall of 2022, as well as an exclusive Mubi streaming release following that, according to information from the company.
MOHO FILMS (Sympathy for Lady Vengeance, The Handmaiden, The Snowpiercer) and CJ ENM (Parasite) are behind the production of Decision to Leave.
It's about a detective who falls in love with the lad,y who is the primary suspect in his continuing murder investigation. It stars Park Hae-il (The Host, Memories of Murder) and China's Tang Wei (Lust, Caution, Blackhat).
Korean film filmmaker Park Chan-wook is no stranger to Cannes, having previously screened his work "Oldboy in 2003, Thirst in 2009, and The Handmaiden last year.
Oldboy was part of a loose 'revenge trilogy' that included Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance in 2002 and Sympathy for Lady Vengeance in 2005. More than 12 million people are members of Mubi, which claims to be "the world's largest community of film fans," with access in 190 countries.
